Can it be? An update?? Yup. Still unfinished, though. But I'm pretty happy with the way it looks so far. Now I just have to find the time to shade and highlight and do the background.

In any case, this is Brooke, from Reed Hawker's comic, "Culture Shock" [link] . It's giftart as thanks for having made a donation to help us out on printing the anthology.

Brooke's the sweetest, most innocent elf you'll ever meet. She'd probably get herself into trouble if it wasn't for the fact that her cute factor has the power to melt even the Dark Side. I had difficulty with the pose, but it finally came together. Eventually I will use this image to make a tutorial for Eunice P [link] , and you'll get to see how frankensteinish the original sketch looked. Ahhh, tweaking. How I love thee.

Took me a while to get the eyes just right. I often color in the eyes before anything else because they add such life to the drawing.

Thank you! I used a reference, and then messed it up, so I had to fiddle with the perspective until I got it right. I'm really happy with the result because 1) I could actually see my mistakes and 2) I actually had the patience to correct them :P
